Product Review: @Odacite Concentrates

Odacité, Black Cumin + Cajeput Pimple Concentrate

Ingredients: Highest-grade cold-pressed certified organic virgin organic black cumin oil, certified organic cajeput essential oil, certified GMO-free vitamin E.

This pimple concentrate has a nice, clean, slightly spicy scent to it. The scent is mild and dissipates once the concentrate is absorbed into the skin. I like that this product is versatile. You can use it undiluted as a spot treatment directly on blemishes, or you can add it to your moisturizer. When used in its concentrated form it worked fast to reduce the size of my blemishes without drying or irritating my skin. It’s kind of pricey compared to other spot treatments but I can’t deny the effectiveness of it. I’m knocking it down a notch due to cost. I will likely repurchase this in the future. Note: If your skin is very sensitive, be careful with this concentrate as it’s very strong.

Cost: $31.00 CAD, 5 ml / 0.17 oz

Available at: The Detox Market, Fresh Faced

Rating: 4/5

Odacité, Jojoba Lavender Clogged Pores Serum Concentrate

Ingredients: Highest-grade cold-pressed certified virgin organic jojoba oil, certified organic lavender essential oil, certified GMO-free vitamin E (tocopherols).

I have to confess, this concentrate didn’t do much for my skin. It has that lovely lavender scent going for it. But it only unclogged my pores a little. A good steam does more for my skin. Also this would be an easy DIY oil that could be made for less. The ingredients are definitely high quality but I don’t think I’ll repurchase this in the future.

Cost: $33.00 CAD, 5 ml / 0.17 oz

Available at: The Detox Market, Fresh Faced

Rating: 3/5

  1. I have a little unopened sample of Jojoba-Lavender, good to know you didn’t find it really efficient. I totally agree with you regarding Black Cumin-Cajeput: since I ran out of it, my skin has been acting up more than usual. x

  2. Hi, how would you compare the effectiveness of Odacite BI +C to that of your DIY recipe? Thanks!

    • Hi Cali, well for one thing the DIY is less concentrated and it can take more than one day’s application to get rid of big zits. It depends on your skin though. I think the affordability of the DIY can trump the Odacite concentrate. Have you used Odacite before?

      • Hi thank you for the reply 🙂 I’ve been using the DIY (without essential oils) more as a toner and now I’m thinking about getting Odacite for as a target spot treatment, hoping it would work quickly to make spots go away.

      • Yes, it can make spots go away quickly but if your skin is very sensitive be careful with it. Perhaps start by adding it to your moisturizer to see if ypu have any reaction to it.

  3. I’ve used the Cumin + Cajeput and Grapeseed and Grapefruit combo for about 10 days. They were working initially to dry out my minimal acne (applied directly to my face without moisturizer) but on day 8-9, I started getting more acne (on forehead, cheek and chin). Have you or anyone else experienced this and it eventually worked?

    • Hi Ali,
I haven’t used the Grapeseed + Grapefruit concentrate so I cannot speak to that. How many drops were you using on your face? I’m wondering if perhaps using both at the same time was too concentrated for your skin. You also may want to look at the other products you were using at the same time & see if there were any potential reactions between them. I haven’t heard of anyone who has experienced the same as you but everyone’s skin is different. It can be hard to track down exactly what is giving you a reaction if you switch your products all the time. That is the reason why I test products for at least a month.
