I love pressed eyeshadow. Nothing beats the convenience of a pressed shadow. This one is super smooth and finely milled. Deep Diane is great for highlighting and as a base colour. I don’t need to put a lot on my makeup brush to get some good coverage going on. This eyeshadow is intensely pigmented. Also, despite the coconut oil derivative in the ingredients it didn’t make me break out. This eyeshadow is made to fit into a magnetic compact. They have the metallic compact as well as the regular cardboard and paper compact. I personally think the metallic compact is much nicer. But the cardboard compact is also nice because when it gets worn out, you can recycle it.
Update, 1 March 2015: I’ve since had the chance to try the other eyeshadow colours from Sappho Organics and they are smashing! The colour payoff is so amazing. I just need a small dab on my makeup brush to get a lot of colour. I hope they make more colour in the future!
Sweet Hailey, Pressed Eyeshadow in a pot
Ingredients: Mica, Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zinc Stearate
Sappho seems to phasing out the pressed eyeshadows in a pot. So get these while you can at a discount! Sweet Hailey is a nice brownish, taupe colour that’s perfect for a crease colour or alone for a nude eye look. This eyeshadow also didn’t break me out despite the coconut oil derivative in the ingredients. I love a smooth, finely milled eyeshadow and Sappho makes some very nice ones with great colour payoff.
